unanimously passed Article 20,
a citizen petition to protect and include
trans and gender diverse people
in Provincetown's public restrooms;
through compliance with existing
MA state gender inclusive
building code.

One year later
the Provincetown Select Board
with the full support of Town managers
voted to override:
THE VOTE OF THE PEOPLE,
CIVIL RIGHTS LAW,
AND STATE BUILDING CODE.
A vote to BAN gender inclusive restrooms
in LGBtQ Provincetown.

Founded in 2025, The Hall Pass Project created Provincetown's Bathrooms for EveryBODY! to Protect Trans* Lives through the development of Gender Inclusive restrooms and while we are working on that, we are also building a playbook for other towns to copy. Stay tuned..
We use the term Trans* as a shorthand umbrella term to include all gender expressions and identities outside the binary and want the feedback of anyone within this spectrum.
By Inclusive, we mean INCLUSIVE! All people who buck the gender binaries: All trans, transgender, non-binary, intersex and gender diverse people, and all our friends and allies! If you think you belong here, you beautiful human, you do belong here!

We are a group of gender diverse townies & visitors, allies, moms, youths, BIPOC, white folks, feminists, lesbians, plumbers, carpenters, cis-men, gay men, cis-women, trans women, architects, drag queens, whale scientists, trans guys, fags, dykes, artists, ministers, dads, old ladies, trans* folks, shop owners, and average joes, all working to make Provincetown safer for our gender diverse community.
